With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, family members, friends, and the Lititz and Lancaster County community gather to honor the life of Kevin Lucas, 47, whose life was tragically taken far too soon in a shooting at Lancaster County Park in Lancaster County Park.
Kevin’s passing has left an unfillable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Those closest to him remember a man whose presence carried kindness, respect, and quiet strength. He was more than a name in a report — he was a beloved friend, a valued member of the community, and someone whose life touched many in meaningful ways.
On Wednesday evening, shortly after 6:30 p.m., authorities responded to reports of shots fired near Williamson Road and Rockford Road. When officers arrived, they discovered two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite emergency efforts, Kevin was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene by the Lancaster County Coroner. A second victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
In the midst of this heartbreaking loss, loved ones are holding tightly to memories — moments of laughter, conversations shared, and the quiet impact Kevin had on those around him. His absence is deeply felt, and the grief is shared across the entire community.
