In Loving Memory of Sarah Myers, Amy Steadman, and the Harmon Children

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, family members, friends, and members of the Mechanicville community are mourning the heartbreaking and tragic loss of four young children Harper Harmon, 13; Hudson Harmon, 11; Gavin Harmon, 10; and Gracelynn Harmon, 10 along with their mother, Sarah Myers, and grandmother, Amy Steadman, who were found deceased inside their home in Mechanicville, New York.

The devastating discovery was made Tuesday during a welfare check after neighbors reported not seeing the family for several days. Authorities confirmed that all six individuals were found inside the apartment, leaving an entire community in shock and sorrow.

According to investigators, evidence recovered at the scene includes prescription and over-the-counter medications, syringes, and other materials now being examined as part of an ongoing investigation. Officials have also reported that one of the children suffered fatal sharp force injuries, while the other deaths appear to involve suspected poisoning. Toxicology results are still pending.

Loved ones are struggling to comprehend the magnitude of the loss, as family members and friends attempt to process the sudden and tragic passing of an entire household. The children are being remembered for their youth, innocence, and the joy they brought to those around them, while Sarah Myers is being remembered as a mother whose life was deeply connected to her children.

As the investigation continues, authorities have indicated there is no evidence of outside involvement at this time, though they are carefully examining all circumstances surrounding the case.

In the midst of overwhelming grief, the community has come together in mourning, sharing prayers, condolences, and support for all those affected. Vigils and tributes are being planned as loved ones seek comfort and answers in the wake of this unimaginable tragedy.

Though their lives were cut short far too soon, their memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
